How to actually achieve New Years Resolutions

There’s something beautiful about transitioning into the new year. It signifies change, a fresh start, a new beginning. On a more important note; let’s not forget the plethora of amazing and original memes being witnessed for the very first time. Moving forward in this exhilarating period, what better way to start off the new year than by making a declarative statement! That statement being, a New Year’s resolution!

Some may shudder at the thought of having to make this goal, let alone keeping up with it throughout the year. However, having this direction of moving forward can spurn on other healthy, wise, and credible choices regardless if the resolution succeeds or fails at the hands of human error. Keeping in mind, it is important when making a resolution to make it obtainable first and foremost.

As much as any of us in society would want to afford a brand-new car, establish a worthwhile company, gain forty pounds of muscle, or not gain any weight at all, the mission itself must be achievable. This is determined by mental stamina, physical strength, resiliency, willpower, resources, funds, etc. Some have these gifting and others may not. (Spoiler Alert) There’s not a concrete way of following through on your resolution, but this isn’t the point.

If you have a goal and mind, you don’t have to have three doctorates and a Nobel Peace prize to carry it out. New Year’s resolutions aren’t meant to be a burden by any means, they are a tool that befits one’s life so long as the user accepts and welcomes the challenge. Why not accept the challenge?
